At times like this...
well.. everyone is aware of the escape of the JI Leader Mas Selamat Kastari from his Detention Centre... it certainly is a bad turn of events for Singapore. With gloomy clouds looming over us, I know everyone's affected, be it small or big. But i urge my frens and ppl around me not to be too negative and affected... for that is wat tt Man wanted us to feel... and for sure u do not wan him to win, dun you?
Thus that being said, let us be positive and be strong... Live ur life as per normal. Do not go thinking or imagining things... Although there is this possibility tt ur imagination may come true... its the determination & positiveness of you and the ppl around you that will deter such things frm happening...
Its time for us to be doing wat we are supposed to do a long time ago - Be Vigilant.
So guys, Think Positive and be Vigilant!!!! haha

hmmm.. was gg thru photos in STOMP and and i came across an entry on toilet infested with cockroaches.... that reminded me that... not only toilets, but also on board buses....
well, jus ytd, when i boarded a white bus at Yishun, i saw one nymph crawling by the window, and as i was also by the window, it was extremely close to me.... well, this is not the first time i see roaches on this bus company's buses... on other occassions, i can see up to 3 at one time, crawling along the window ledge...
well, this posts a question to me... "do they maintain the hygiene levels of their buses?"
at least, the other bus company haf better hygiene levels ( i do take their bus services frequently).. at least i dun see roaches crawling around...

Singapore Airshow 2008
I'm a straightforward person and so here goes...
Today, I went to the inaugural Singapore Airshow at Changi Exhibition Centre... It was awesome!! 20 bucks... well spent!!!
ok met up bunny and his dad at pasir ris mrt station at 7.45am... early right?? haha... there was already a queue forming at the queueing line... haha.. looks like there were ppl more earlier than us... but well.. 7.45am was still pretty much early, although a queue was in front of us... we were at the front part of the queue... so tt naturally made us the first batch to reach the exhibition grounds...
well there had been complaints abt entry being very troublesome and time consuming.... but mine was hassle free.. i wld say the supporting crew at scene were up to the task, but room for more efficiency yea.. maybe we were the first batch and tt it was the start of the day.. =)
well upon reaching... we wasted no time and headed down to the static display area and started snapping away... F-16, F-15, A380... were all there!! haha enuf to make my heart pound with excitement...oh oh oh!! the lancer bomber was there too!! there were other planes too... like the private jets and helicopter... the weather was fine too... not too hot and quite breezy... it was like a morning stroll to me.. =D
after that.. we went into the air conditioned exhibition hall... where dealers displayed their aviation and defence products... frm jet engines to weapon systems... not bad... got quite a few items of the collectables shelves... hee! but well.. like always... things often get squeezy in exhibition halls...
At abt noon... we headed out to the open space for the flying display frm various grps... namely the RSAF Black Knights, the RAAF Rouelettes, USAF's F-16 & F-18, trainer jets:Italian's M-346 & Korea's T-50 and lastly the Airbus A380... Ain't the line up jus look fantastic?? hoho!! the show was fantastic... planes doing 7 to 9G turns with full afterburners.... doing aileron rolls.. formation flying.. power climbs... low speed flying.... phew!!! how cool is that!! After that... we stayed on for the final walk arnd the the exhibition hall... several more snaps and we decided to call it a day...
Hmmm... it was during the departure frm the place tt was troublesome.. Apparently, a long queue for the shuttle bus had already formed up and it was loooooong... geez... under the hot sun, with bodies pressing onto each other... hot and sweaty, emotions often seem to run high... ppl were very eager to cut into each other's path... haiz...why why why?? haha... sumone behind us even commented tt "ppl queued up for so long, and yet ppl can cut queue" and in the end they themselves were doing it!! lolx and trust me they got pretty farther up than us... hoho!!! so you see... the social ethics in this country can be quite bad at times... well.. there is a need to change these... furthermore we are granted the hosting rights for the youth olympics 2010... seriously we need to change... Another thing is, the crowd management of the event... in the morning, hassle free... returning journey, bad. ok frm wat i saw, the crowd was quite well controlled... its jus tt they can change sumthing last minute and we wld be caught unaware and a human jam wld follow...
but well.. we got out eventually... and i feeling contented =) ok here are sum of the pics i took.. enjoy (for those who are interested, request for the whole photo collection frm me)

Oh.
Oh my... it rained today... at least for a while... =) after several days of sun and heat... phew.... kinda cooled things a lil...
but...
I'm looking out of my window now.... It seems like the sky is crying... sad and solemn... maybe its the dusk... i'm not sure... but yet the sound of rain dripping onto the ground... It gives me a peaceful and relaxed feeling and somewhat a contented feeling...
The dusk and the dripping rain... hmmmm~ this is wat i called mixed emotions...
well its rather interesting to be feeling in such a way...
but...

Congratulations to Singapore on the successful bidding for the hosting of the first ever Youth Olympic Games 2010!!

Singapore haf surpassed Moscow for the host country to host the Games!! haha well this signifies another milestone for the sporting development in Singapore... good on that!! well we haf 2 yrs to prepare watever needed for the games and i believe we can do a helluva job!!

Today
Went over Prawn's place for our routine training.... well we ran around the sengkang neighbourhood and ended up at punggol end...
well i must say though it was very sunny at the point of our run.... it was very very windy.... very cooling.... and also rather quite hindering.... wind resistance does haf an effect on a running person... jus imagine... strong winds can shift boats off course even if its large tankers.... well... we ran on. with the heat of the sun bearing down on us, it was certainly a tedious run... at least for me! lol...
we ran, stopped and walked up to punggol end... phew... wat a beautiful sight i saw upon arrival.... the setting sun.... the vast sea channel and very windy... cooling and enjoyable!! too bad my hp was not with me... or else u'll see photos of it here.... not long after we walked back out and started running again... phew!! bunny, can calculate the distance?? i'm eager to know man.. =) (if u can remember the route la ;) )
really really hope tt i can relive my old glory days.... haiz...
oh oh... i also bought a new USB PSP charger cable!!! woo hoo!!! my PSP is given a new leash of life!!! haha... =D yea!!
well.. as of now, i'm feeling slpy... i shall be signing off now!! cheerios!!

Unexpected Suprise!! (updated @ 17 Feb 2008)

Hmmm.. last night was meant to be a 'customary' visit to River Ang Pow.... thot it will be quite boring...
but nvr did we know, we were in for sum delightful treat!! =D
We caught up with the Chingay Procession!!! hmmm... maybe its a preview show i dunno... but well, the biggest treat was we were all able to get a glimpse of the F1 Formula Race car zooming past the crowd!! it was a wonderful feeling!! Although i've taken pictures of stationary F1 race cars.... but this is the first time seeing a speeding one up close and personal!! the sound of the engine is enuf to make any racing fans drool!! wahaha!!!
then we stayed on longer for sum parts of the procession... i must say that the event is getting better and better every year... very nice performance from various cultural groups.... oh frm different countries too!! Japan, Taiwan, Phillipines... hmmm tts so much i heard of..
oh my the atmosphere was great... with the music pounding and with the lively performing crew... woo hooo!!
Unfortunately, my phone was out of memory... so i didn't take much photos... but not all's lost, jeremy has taken photos of it as well!!
well these are all i've got!! wait for updates!!

been busy with proceedings of CNY and other stuff... plus abit of procrastination thus explains the lack of postings for these few days...
haha...
Well... my CNY was ok.. i wun say its joyous or wat but ok... nothing but ok... the usual hse visits, the usual questions frm u-know-whos (boring.. really) and diminishing ang pows (lolx) haha... yea... and well lost sum $$$ on festive gamblings... ='( oh well...
hmmm... caught 2 movies recently, Stephen Chow's CJ7 and Jack Neo's Ah Long PTE LTD... 2 good shows i must say... okok i shall briefly run thru the 2 shows ok?
Firstly, CJ7... great actings from the lead child actress who played chow's son in the show... totally wacky and hmmm bet u can sense tt mr chow is trying out a new movie direction after watching the movie... yea... instead of his usual slapstick humour, he is now trying to make audiences cry... yes cry... haha... tts sumthing u wldn't expect him to come out with... but yea, one shld try new things if u wanna keep competitive =) lets give our upmost support!! not to blam it.... Geez, toking abt being shallow...~
next, Ah Long PTE LTD... haha... nth's changed... this usual 'suanings' of things frm govt to legislative issues... lolx... unlike mr chow, mr neo had kept to his usual style... the only change is that he changed the dialect used frm hokkien to cantonese... (most prob to cater for msia mrket) yea... average actings frm the both lead characters played by Fann wong and Mark lee...
yeapy... tts abt all for the past few days... ^^

Love this show!! Splendidly shot!! furthermore its led by one of my fav actors, Johnny Depp!! :)
Hate, revenge, vengeance are wat u would describe this movie.... Benjamin Barker a.k.a Sweeney Todd was an ordinary barber... Having a beautiful wife, it attracted unwanted perhaps fatal attention.... the beauty of his wife attracted a judge name Turpin who was ambitious to win her heart.... thus he had Benjamin barker arrested under a false charge and locked him up....
After hard years in exile for a crime he didn't commit, Benjamin Barker now Sweeney Todd, returns to London to find his wife dead and his daughter in the hands of the evil Judge Turpin. In his anger, Sweeney goes on a murderous rampage on all London, with the help of Mrs. Lovett, he opens a barber shop in which he lures his victims in with a charming smile before casually ending their life with a flick of his razor across their neck. Its a sad and dark musical movie... great singings from Johnny depp!! Gonna get the Soundtrack soon!!! It is sad to see such a nice character be transformed into a eccentric murderer blinded by hate... Who's to blame? With an oppressive govt, you need only look into a mirror...
haha... I strongly recommend this show to u guys!! A must watch!! But beware... you wun like to see the way he kills his victims...
